WIPOCALYPSE 02/17

This year you'll find the WIPOCALYPSE
hosted by Melissa at Measi's Musings
on the last Sunday of the month,

http://measi.net/measiblog/

My goals for 2017 are to work on : keys/poppies themes/goose game/
and some old works : cube/buttons/autumn/

Only progress on goose game since last month,

Melissa gives us a topic : What is your favorite stitch other than the standard cross stitch?

In my WIP, I actually stitch "Quand Noël s'en mêle" from Un chat dans l'aiguille
there is a lot of different stitches

and I have loved a lot doing the very particular stitch used for the Bayeux Tapestry,

I have stitched Harold in 2014,

and visited the Tapestry Museum in Bayeux in last November,

I have been wise and not buy one of those tempting kit, but I'd love to do (in my dreams) one with boats :

ETAPE/STEP 1/2

My ladies, we're looking for an author house.

I'm waiting for your comments
Good answers will "stay hidden"
until the next step when the author
himself will introduce you his characters.

Some news about my quaker,
I made some progress during my lunch time

I wish I could keep this goal... one step in the travel one step in the stitching...

ETAPE/STEP 1/1

Here we are, remember we are travelling from Paris (1) on the map, not too far and there is always the number of the department given in the first drawing.
More clues at the end of the week, it's only in 2 days.

Back to stitching, I have been working on the stitched towel I begun for Jo's Tenuous Shoe-Horn, the goal was to coordonate the stitching with the small pictures in the bathroom.

I added the two wooden fences and I know I wanted to place some boats and now I have some troubles with perspective which was not so clear on the paper.

See you soon, maybe on Friday evening...

NEW EVENT COMING SOON

Dear Stitcher, Blogger, Reader, Friend,

Hi it's Jocondine,

I want to propose you a new trip and invite you on a journey through the country of France.

It will take the same way that on my first "game" (March/June 2015).

This year, the theme is "book",  it can be a town welcoming an author house, a museum, a famous library, a publisher, something linked (maybe with a shoehorn!) with writing universe. Most were chosen because I visited them on holidays.

We'll start from Paris and travel from west to east.

Some characters, chosen in the writing univers (movie/TV) will accompany you, in 2 or 3 steps you'll find some clues to help you to find our destination.

Hidden in the drawings, in dialogues ; they might be geographic, historical clues, sometimes little enigma, kind of riddles,

Each first step will give you the department number with a regional map.

I want to post on Wednesday and week-end as it's my free days.

You'll be welcome to propose names of the town or simply post comments.
Correct answers will be withheld until the last reveal post.

I will add some links to give you more informations, feel free to visit those places.

I hope that you'll be many to join me and entertain yourself following me on this modest journey.

See you on Wednesday for the official departure with Jessica Fletcher (The murder she wrote).

Have a nice trip!

Chère brodeuse, cher brodeur, lectrice, lecteur, amie, ami,

Bon voyage !

Jocondine

Second : Cuore et Batticuore  pattini d'argenti

for my skating theme
I'm stitching the iced ground

about skating, I found the charms
I needed for the final touch of skating Kitty
at the end of last month
and added them

so it's a huge GG work!

salon C&SF fin janvier.

Third ; Those six  characters also from Cuore e Batticuore

offered me the perfect chart for Jo's Secret Stitching Sweetheart, I have to hurry to finish this lovely girl
received  by  Stitch Niche

Love the sparking fabric I used for the first time;

I took back my Tableautin d'hiver from Tralala and worked on the deer, some mushrooms and discovered that I missed an heart in the ground, so I have now to unstitch the white color.

Some stitches on the towel I begun for the Tenuous shoehorn, more pics to come.

Of course, I enjoy getting presents too...
how lovely stitching I received from Debbie.
